Mount Arbel to Ginosar

Begin the day from Arbel Cliffs. Carefully descend the steep trail down the mount, passing ancient cliff dwellings and caves. Drink from the fresh spring at Wadi Hamam before continuing to Tabgha via rolling agricultural land. On our way to Ginosar we pass the ancient Migdal (Magdala). Matthew 15:39 of the King James' Version (KJV) reads, "And he [Jesus] sent away the multitude, and took ship, and came into the coasts of Magdala". All four gospels refer to a follower of Jesus called Mary Magdalene, and it is usually assumed that this means "Mary from Magdala".
We will end our tour is Ginosar. In the First Century AD there was a flourishing town known by Greek and Latin speakers as Gennesaret, with the version "Ginosar" appearing in the New Testament in Matthew 14:34-36.
